Hubby Vents!!

Come on girls, Im sure they drive you
at some point! This is the place to vent!!
My hubby is driving me absolutely batty! The whole entire time I have known him hes never really been one to wear shoes (qld boy at heart), if we go somewhere he will but just around home and ducking out to the local shops, outside etc he doesnt, every night he lays down on the lounge and I am horrified to see the bottoms of his feet are the blackest black!! We have very light carpet upstairs (bottom is tiles) and he walks around the house and couldnt care less, we have so many marks on the carpet from his grubby feet. He goes outside to smoke and thanks to Quaddie its really dirty out there and he just walks everything back into the house. I am turning into a nag but I dont know what else to do!!
Now between that and him constantly turning every light on in the house and then leaving it on, I am just about ready to pull my hair out! After our last electricity bill was through the roof I just wish he would realise what he is doing and turn the lights off when he leaves the room, but nooooo Ive been following him around the last couple of nights turning everything off and I said something to him last night about it and all I got was an i love you and his lame puppy dog eyes AAARRRGHHHH
Ok now I feel better getting that off my chest, now to get working on him and change his wicked ways

Heehee - Bec, Trav is exactly the same...always leaving lights on in a path through the house, and it drives me insane!! The other thing that bugs me is he drops all his clothes on the floor when he gets home...or else he'll dump them in our room - on the floor right next to the laundry hamper!! :o 2cm to the right or left and it would have gone in it's rightful place...drives me buggy! lol
I tell him and he just shrugs and smiles...and that's it!
LOL - I think sometimes they are definately there to test our patience!! lol

 oh Kel dont you just love their little quirks! Stop washing his clothes and see how long it takes him to find the basket?!? Thankfully Chad knows where the laundry basket is and I gotta admit he does the washing more than me these days lol sadly Im the one that leaves clothes everywhere (what can I say Im a woman it comes with the territory)
heehee Chad has listened to my nagging ways and now wears his thongs when he goes outside, YAY just in time to get our carpets cleaned for our inspection and I havent had to follow him around the house the last couple of days, hes such a good boy  now just to work on that smoking of his heehee god I sound evil dont I?!?

Having a "man look" would have to be the thing that drives me nuts and his slackness with housework.

 ok im curious, what exactly is your hubby's "man look"?
the housework issue would rub me the wrong way, Chad never really did anything, his excuse "he didnt know where anything went" but he has become awesome, he does more than me most of the time. I hate how men have the attitude that us women need to do everything around the house, if you are both working everything at home should be shared as well.

DH's "man looks" are when he looks for something and can't find it and it is usually because he doesn't look for it properly! He is a shocker at doing it with clothes and things in the kitchen...

hahaha, I am always telling my H2B to "bend his back and have a girl look". Frustrates the hell out me. He'll look for something in the fridge and say he can't find it simply because he didn't move something out of the way. I am sure he thinks I keep an inventory of the fridge and exactly what is placed where. Now he says, "I even had a girls looks and still can't find it." God love him, at least he tries. But I have to admit he is generally not too bad. I cook so he always does the dishes, though he wont put them away...... Oh well, I hate doing dishes.

haha they sound like twins! Last night DH couldn't find the butter and had a little hissy fit about it not being on the top shelf. I went to the fridge (which is virtually empty cause we need to go shopping) moved a 6-pack of his beer to the side and it was there... he would have had to move the butter to the back to put the beer in!

haha.. my hubby has "man looks" as well.. I always tell him to go back and open his eyes and have another look...
At least twice a week he will forget where he put his pen, name badge or car keys.. at least if he "misplaces" his phone we can ring it.. but with the other stuf we both run around the house at 5:30 in the morning looking for his stuff before he heads off to work .. it is sooo frustrating!!!
He also likes to leave his clothes everywhere!! although since we have got Raffy he has been picking them up and putting them in the laundry basket cause if he doenst Raffy runs off with them!!... it took a dog to teach him!! haha!!
Generally he is pretty good though.. especially at this time of year.. he cooks and does dishes takes clothes off the line.. picks the kids up, gets them ready for bed.. and cleans the house if hes not working on saturdays.. if he is working then we both clean on sundays.. I really am lucky to have him.. so I can over look the other little stuff :)

hahahaha Gotta love his way of thinking though hey Bec? The cheeky bugger, sounds like something my bloke'd do too. Luckily I don't wear dresses very often (if at all) I'm a pants girl.

he he the 'man look hey - my dad used to tell my brothers (and sometimes me!) to 'have a girl look'.
ben tends to drop his clothes next to the dirty clothes basket too - but my darling cat taught him to loo - he pees on anything material left scrunched up on the floor in the 'laundry' (hallway). gotta love that cat, cause then he has to soak watever was peed on, then wash it - sometimes twice.
